FOR WOMEN

"In 2020, I was reading the story in John 4 of Jesus and the woman at the well. Having come out of a season of ministry and feeling like I needed deep refreshing myself, the story really encouraged me. It was one of those days, just thinking about the living water and waiting for a refreshing touch from Jesus, when He surprised me with a question. He asked if I would be willing to dig a well for other women to come and drink with me.

My first response was, 'Lord, I have nothing to give anyone. What will I do with all the women at the well?' He said to me, 'Nothing. You have to do nothing. You only have to create a space where the girls can come, and I will refresh them.' I said to Him that I could do this, but I didn't want to do it alone. I asked, 'Who can help me dig this well?' and immediately, the name of a new friend, Laura Munro, came to mind. I reluctantly thought, 'Okay, I will ask her, but if she’s not VERY excited about the idea, I’ll take it as a no and not go forward with this.' But of course, when I shared this with Laura, she was very excited and it witnessed with what she was also feeling in her heart.

We invited a handful of girls (all equally excited) and started to get together every second Friday. This became my safe place and their safe place. We always left our time together feeling refreshed by Jesus. Since then, the women have continued to come, and we have kept creating this space for women to be refreshed. We have seen God touch their lives, their families, and their circles of influence.

Community

Refresh groups are vibrant communities where women come together to first be refreshed by Jesus, finding renewal and strength in His presence. Then, just as Proverbs reminds us that a true friend refreshes the soul, these groups foster deep, supportive friendships. Through sharing, celebrating, and encouraging one another, members lift each other up, building personal growth and resilience. Refresh groups offer a space where hearts are renewed by Jesus and souls are refreshed by the gift of friendship.

Refresh Weekends

Refresh weekends offer women a rejuvenating escape from daily routines, where they are refreshed by Jesus through moments of reflection and renewal in His presence. These weekends also foster deep friendships through laughter, meaningful conversations, and shared experiences that strengthen bonds. Whether exploring nature or simply enjoying each other’s company, these getaways empower women to return home feeling spiritually renewed, refreshed by friendship, and supported by their community.
